Knife Frenzy !!!

First of all i would like to show everyone my knife set...... its nothing much but i hope everyone can learn a thing or two about knives from this post =D

Cleaver - A very heavy, broad blade. Used for cutting through bones.

French knife or also called a Chef's knife - Most frequently used in the kitchen for general- purpose chopping, slicing, dicing, and so on. The blade is wide at the heel and tapers to a point. Blade length of 10 inches is most popular for general work. Larger knives are for heavy cutting and chopping. Smaller blade are for more delicate work. This is one of the most important tool for a chef.







Santoku knife or also called a Japanese cook's knife - A wide bladed knife that is becoming increasingly popular as a substitute for the traditional chef's knife. Blades are usually 5 inches or 7 inches long.
